My burrito of choice comes from pancheros: rice, chicken, pinto, extra pico, extra corn salsa, onion and cilantro, sour cream, roll it up...yummmm. Only one time have I finished a panch burrito in one sitting. I think the thing weighs about 4 pounds!

The food here is always great, but the staff was very rude. I asked for mild salsa and extra pico on my burrito. When she only put pico on it I asked her if they had any mild salsa. The manager (I'm assuming ) said yes and looked at me straight faced. Not one person said you're welcome when I said thank you not one person said no problem or have a great day. As I was leaving they were completing a faxed in order and they were talking shit on the people who placed the order. Talking about how they had asked for salsa and "we have like five different kinds of salsas. I should just put hot salsa on it." #nexttimegoingtoChipotle

Pancheros as a whole has always been hit and miss with me. I think they are overpriced in general and their ingrediants in general lack quality that their competitors possess. However they have one of the best tortillas around and their queso is divine. I just don't want to be charged an extra $1 for a tiny portion of veggies added to my burrito. Is that too much to ask? Extra points though for being one of the few burrito joints that mix the ingredients together.

Kind of gross, burrito was cold, the guys working behind the counter could work on their customer service. Not really that impressed, the cheese quesadilla was warm and teasted alright. Guacamole is a dollar extra so is the cheese sauce. They had good music playing. Place was a little busy after we got here. I'd rather spend my $20 at lone star! More food and better way better!

I would say the food here is ok nothing too spectacular. My burrito has been cold on more than one occasion and it honestly seems a little crazy to me that it costs $1 just to add queso to an otherwise dry burrito. It's hard to justify buying a $9 burrito I suppose that's why the only time I stop here is after a night of libations:) another thing I must add is during my last visit they wrapped up my burrito without even asking me what I wanted on it, then when I said hey! no one even asked me what I wanted on my burrito and he looks at the guy in front of me in line and said....he did! And completely ignored me after that. I was quite upset with the rudeness and ended up with a rice and cheese burrito! Sick! They need to work on there customer service.

I'm back in the homeland and while I was out running errands, I thought I would pick up lunch to take away. Panchero's was close, so I stopped in. I have been craving solid, decent burritos since living in the UK for three years and thought I would give Panchero's another go. However, if I were to pick a chain of this sort, my first choice would probably be Qdoba. The burrito doesn't seem nearly as big as it used to, but the prices are still pretty high. The staff were quick and efficient enough, the rice was a little underdone... how you can do that when it has been sitting in a warmer for most of the day is beyond me. The pico de gallo also looked old and there wasn't much flavour from it. I did want veggies and sour cream on my burrito, which would cost more. For a burrito with veggies and sour cream and a small drink... it was almost $10! Far too expensive for a burrito!

I have mixed feelings about Pancheros. I'm from the east coast, where we have Chipotle, Qdoba, and Baja Fresh. My wife and I really loved those places as an alternative to more traditional, greasy burger type fast food . While the tortillas at those places can't hold a candle to the fresh-pressed tortillas at Panchero's, I feel like the steak at those places is considerably better. If Panchero's were a national chain, they might have an excuse; but they're a regional chain that happens to be situated in the region of the country where steak comes from.

Though, this is no fancy schmancy Mexican joint, the food is fast, hot and good. The staff here is well trained, quick and friendly. If you like easy food, without a question, try Pancheros.

Food was cold. Service was subpar. Employees looked gross. Seriously, go to Chipotle.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque.
